All students will compete in at least one of the events. The events are as follows:

• Walk Race - one lap

• Running Race - one lap

• Duathlon - one lap biking and one lap running

• Endurance Bike Race - how many laps can a team do in one hour?

Your child’s teacher has taken the time to discuss the day with their class and answer questions. As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher. Unfortunately, there is no backup day due to the difficulty in sourcing setup equipment on alternate dates. Therefore, please check Skool Loop at 8 am if in doubt. 

If your child wishes to compete in either the duathlon or the Endurance Bike Race, you are required to transport them and their bike (and helmet) to Ferrymead Park. We ask that they be dropped off between 8.30am and 9.00am. They can help us set up the course, too! Your child could arrange to share a bike. However, if they don’t have a bike or don’t wish to compete in one of the biking event. 

We ask that they be at school before 9.00am. Students will travel by bus to Ferrymead Park with Mrs. T, Matua Daniel and Mr. Halkett. 

If you are coming to watch, feel free to park in the Ferrymead Golf Club car park, but please observe all no-parking signs and walk your son or daughter to the meeting area. Students can wear their school sports uniform for the day.  A roll will be taken at the venue. Bring heaps of warm clothes, drink and food as we will be there until about 12.30pm. 

After the Frost Buster, we will walk / bike children back to school with their bikes after the event. If your child does not have a bike, please use the next few weeks to find a friend who has a bike you can borrow. Students may share a bike for the Endurance Bike Race. Also, don’t forget a proper helmet. Brakes must function properly, and students must be able to operate them. There are sharp corners and decent little hills. The attached map shows a rough guide for the Frost Buster.

Day 1:
Pick up from St. Anne's: 0815 hrs
Drop off at Foster Park for the Opening Ceremony
The Kī-o-Rahi and Ultimate Frisbee will stay at Foster Park. Then the volleyball team need to be at Lincoln University. Please note, the volleyball fields are located off Ellesmere Junction Road.

Depart:1400 hrs: Depart Lincoln University, via Foster Park, then returning to St. Anne's

Day 2 & 3:
Pick up from St. Anne's: 0815 hrs
Drop off at Foster Park: Kī-o-Rahi and Ultimate Frisbee
Lincoln Uni: Volleyball
Depart:1400 hrs: Depart Lincoln University, via Foster Park, then returning to St. Anne's
