Nā te Tumuaki (from the Principal)

Kia ora koutou

The year is quickly coming to an end.  There are some important notices to you.

Mahi Kāinga / Homework Challenges Please note, the last day for these  is Monday 30      November (Year 4-8)

Touch  –  This week was to be the last round-robin and next week the finals.  Keep an eye on the parent Facebook page or go to Aupaki Touch website to see the latest update on draws and standings.

Nativity Performance –  by the junior classes  is on  Wednesday,  2 December at  2.15pm.      It would pay to arrive early for a good seat.  We would love it if you could arrange care for little ones as it is hard for our young students to project their voices over the noise of younger siblings, etc.   If this can’t be organised, and a baby or younger child is being noisy, please could you take them out of the hall until they are settled again.

Canterbury Athletics Champs  are on Wednesday.  Good luck to our rather big group heading there this year!

Class placements for 2021   –  As usual, this will come out with the Christmas newsletter during the last week of school.

2021 Year 7 & 8 Camp    –  Letters are out.   Please get payments in.

We continue to pray for Fr Benito who is unwell at the moment.  I asked him if the school could do anything for him.   His response was, “Just be kind to one another and help one another”.  How can you help Fr Benito?   I think the answer is clear.  Prayers and  Kindness first.

Speaking of kindness, well done on surviving the road works!   The school crossing has moved, so be aware out there and please use the new crossing!  It is unlikely that we will receive more parking until the completion of the works next year.  It is still no

stopping/parking!  Thanks for your patience.

Don’t miss this!   Our prizegiving, farewell to our Year 8’s and
a special farewell to Mrs Judi Parker!

There are prizes in each class plus special awards (dux like).   We don’t let parents know who is receiving them because we would like all families there to support both their children, and the school.
It would be a sad affair if it was only the winners
turning up. Please dress students in tidy attire for this.
