Newsletter #2.5 / Niureta #2.5 (27/02/2026)

Kia ora rā koutou,

BUILDING WORK / MAHI WHARE WHAKAHOU
The next newsletter will be an important one not to miss as it will have updates as to the building works starting soon in the school. This will affect some more than others and will be messy for a while. In particular, Room 5 will move to the library during the works (and will be the only class able to get out books during this time). They will need to share the space with Kidsbase. There will be fences and all those sorts of things to ensure safety during this time. Short term pain for a long term gain!!!! More to come on this.
The earliest start day is MONDAY 9 MARCH.
Dallas Wichman – Principal / Tumuaki / Pū ‘Āpi’i Ma’ata

MASS THIS WEEKEND / MIHA I TĒNEI WĪKENE
A reminder that all students from Room 1, Room 2,  Room 3 and Room 9 are expected to represent us at Mass this Sunday at 10.30am. We understand that some go to churches other than St Anne’s (like many of our staff), but we ask that you come to St Anne’s for this, once a term celebration. It is tidy dress (not uniform). See you all there.
Josh Halkett – Director of Religious Studies / Pouārahi o te Whakapono

WHEELS WEEK / KO TE WIKI O KĀ WIRA
A reminder that this is next week. Students will receive cards on Monday to sign off by their teacher. If they complete the challenge each day, they will go in the draw to win prizes. If students have a dangerous pathway to school i.e. a very busy intersection, you can drop them closer and in a safer place to begin / end, we don’t want any injuries.
Monday: Walk, bike, scooter, skip or run to school.
Tuesday: The same as Monday but you must do it with a friend or family member.
Wednesday: The same as Monday but wear something really bright for the trip to school. Show your class to start the day and your teacher will talk about why bright clothing is great for bikers. This will then go into bags until hometime.
Thursday: Walk or wheel to school again and do something positive for the environment as you start, during, or as you finish (pick up rubbish, recycle, etc).
Friday: Dress up your feet or bike. You are welcome to expand the theme to your whole dress if you want (note: it is a dress up, not a non uniform day).
